SKINNY GUYS CHICKEN MARSALA DISH

Ingredients

With the addition of rice/pasta, this is a great meal to give you both the carbs and protein necessary to gain weight!

1/4 cup all-purpose flour for coating
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - pounded 1/4 inch thick
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup Marsala wine
1/4 cup cooking sherry

****NOTE: IF YOU DON'T HAVE WINE OR SHERRY, YOU CAN SIMPLY USE YOUR FAVORITE CHICKEN SAUCE. ALTHOUGH IT WOULDN'T BE A "MARSALA DISH" ANYMORE, IT WILL STILL BE A GOOD WEIGHT GAINING MEAL.

Preparation

  1. Mix together flour, salt, oregano and pepper in bowl. Coat chicken pieces in the mixture

  2. In large skillet, melt butter in oil over medium heat. Place chicken in the pan and lightly brown

  3. Add mushrooms, add wine and sherry

  4. Cover and let simmer for 5-10 minutes or until chicken is longer pink in the middle

  5. Serve with brown rice. This will give you plenty of complex carbs to give your body the energy it needs to keep it from using protein as an energy source
